Musaxi 2 Restaurante Japonês — Restaurant in Gondomar

I've just found my favourite sushi place in Porto and nearby places. Before going I searched about the prices, service and quality and everything matched my expectation. The food was a masterpiece, there's no wait for it at all and service is amazing!

Me and my partner went on Sept 14th of 2025, we paid 15,90€ for this lunch buffet. I do know the prices vary in other weekdays and differ a lot from lunch to dinner and if it is a child or not. Either way, the range overall goes from 12€ and can reach up to 19,90€, drinks excluded.

They have crazy things you have to try, specially the pringle sushi pieces, the omelette with salmon pieces and the egg temaki! (And yes, dip them in soy sauce) 🍣

I've been here lots of times, the experience was never the same and that's a very bad thing - that's why I decided to stop going all together since my last visit (two weeks ago).

Depending on the day the service, waiting time, and overall quality of confection and freshness of the fish can vary widely. Also, depending on who's serving you, what you order doesn't always arrive on the table.

We keep coming back to Musaxi2 just for the sushi it sells; freshly made-to-order, quick and very worth the price on offer. It may not offer the best sushi in town (we're new in town so haven't checked other places yet) however, the prices are hard to beat, specifically their multi-box offer. Our favourite is the hot sushi box! Staff are always so patient with me as my Portuguese is mais ou menos 😉 and always seem happy to help choose different sushi and Asian meals or clarify any doubts I have.
