Nice place, good ambiance, reasonably priced. Lovely food. It is large with several distinct areas within. Note that for this review, I visited as part of a (very) large group celebrating together. We were in a separate section and not many other diners were there. It’s likely the case though, that when or if the restaurant is full, it’ll probably be like just about every other Portuguese building where the concrete or block walls might make the place pretty loud. But please don’t let that stop you going. It is just a nice Pizza place remember, it’s not the Ritz!!!! All that said, the restaurant handled us extremely well. From order taking to delivery was understandably longer than it might otherwise, have been as a couple, but they then did a great job of delivering everybody’s food. BEAUTIFUL RESTAURANT! 5* FOOD & SERVICE! We are local to Restaurante & Pizzaria Casa João and went for a lovely family dinner last night! The customer service is 5*, we were greeted with a smile, and seated quickly with a wide variety menu for all! The starters were truly delicious, the best Calamari in the Algarve, followed by a delicious main of the Portugesa Pizza. The pizzas cannot be missed, they are cooked to a tasty and crisy texture that is soooo yummy! We cannot wait to go back for a lovely family again, we have recommended it to lots of friends and visitors in the area. We will also be getting take out pizzas from here now in the future! Saturday lunch at Casa João Sesmarias, great value at €10 per head. Bread , butter and olives to start. Half a litre of slightly chilled red wine between us. I always have their pizza, they are fantastic. I can only eat half, I always take the other half home. Husband had octopus rice, and it was delicious. Choice of desserts and coffee included in the price. They have plenty of outside space available with the current restrictions. Give them a try especially if you like pizza.
