After an overnight flight to Faro, my family and I made out way to Carvoeiro with the intent of stopping somewhere, anywhere, for a bite to eat. This was the first restaurant we came across and decided to try it. We were greeted by a very nice gentleman who informed us that they had two plates of the day; pork or fish. We ordered some drinks and were promptly delivered our food which was EXCELLENT. What an incredible way to start our vacation in the Algarve. When we received the bill we were shocked. We had lunch on Wednesday, excellent value, €8.50 per head. It included ; Bread butter and olives to start. Half a litre of vinho Verde between us. I had fish fillets with rice, husband had the pork chops with potatoes. Very nice main meal. I had the water melon for dessert, husband took the caramel pudding. Coffee was offered. We had a very good lunch. Recanto da Boavista was very busy when we arrived about 12.30 with a lot of regular customers. Not so busy by 13.30. Highly recommed This place!! A set menu each day( Meat dish or fish dish but depends on the day), 3 Courses with a drink, Small menu done to perfection & a bargain of 14.50 euros per head, finishee off with complimentary Portugese firewater!! We have been meaning to come here upon passing many times over the year, our only regret is not coming sooner!! We came for a drink yesterday & was informed of the menu today to which we returned!!
