Restaurante O Alentejano — Restaurant in Lagoa

Lovely little bar/restaurant.

We took a little stroll away from our hotel and happened across O Alentejano. We asked if food was being served and our server confirmed yes of course. We were asked if we wished to seat in or out, then we were allowed to pick our choice of tables. Our server had limited English but was able to recommend a suitable dish for us based on our suggestions of what we did and didn't want.

The wine suggestion was lovely and paired really well with the mixed pork dish that we opted for.

The pork was all cooked to a lovely standard with lots of variety of flavours. Crinkle cut chips, although not unusual, were very tasty.

If you don't want your salad dressed in oil and vinegar then ask upfront, not a negative but we are used to dressing out own salads.

All told, for a lovely lunch in the sun, with friendly staff and reasonable prices you can't...

A wonderful local family run restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was top class, very friendly with a good sense of humour, making everyone feel welcome and special from the moment they arrive. Service with a smile. Sehr zu empfehlen! Wir waren mit unserer kleinen Tochter auf einem nahegelegenen Spielplatz. Auf Google Maps haben wir dieses Restaurant mit seinen guten Bewertungen gesehen. Interessanterweise war es an diesem Tag fast leer, wobei es scheinbar an anderen Tagen sehr voll ist und die Leute warten müssen. Und das hat auch einen guten Grund. Das Essen ist nicht nur hervorragend, es ist auch noch sehr günstig. Ich hatte ein riesiges saftiges, ca 3cm dickes Steak. Gute Pommes, toller Salat. Der Inhaber ist wirklich sehr freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Für unsere Kleine gab's einen kleinen Teller, kleines Besteck und ein kleines Glas. Und am Ende dürfte sie sich noch einen Lollie aussuchen und hat sogar 2 bekommen. Auf jeden Fall...
