Fábrica de Grelhados — Restaurant in Lagoa

Was very quiet when we arrived here for dinner on Monday so I thought great won't be too long waiting for food. That was OK until it arrived I had steak and my wife and daughter had chicken with fries all round everything looked great until we tried the fries. They were stone cold I even asked the guy that served us to feel them and he even said they were cold hard to understand really when all the food came out together. We did return them and got new one's. Don't think the female chef was too happy. And a few mins after that a couple from the table behind us returned a main kebab dish also not sure why that was but 2 things returned in the same night? Had just arrived in Portugal and visited for lunch. Ordered two pizzas and a steak kebab for my wife. My pizza was bland and tasteless. My wife’s steak kebab was overcooked. There was no attempt to provide any kind of sauce. It was served with chips and a dry salad in a bowl. No dressing for the salad and no sauce for the steak. Asked the waiter for a pepper sauce (like peppercorn sauce you normally have with steak), instead we got a very spicy pepper sauce.

6 of us went for lunch today. Those who chose the lamb chops had to return them to the kitchen as the meat was simply inedible. The chips were also cold. I had the Bacalhau as recommended by the chef and to be honest it was ok but much drier than I thought it would be.The other two meals were enjoyed. The lamb was replaced by roast chicken and despite waiting 45 mins for the substitute meals, when they did arrive it was widely liked.
