Had one meal here during our two week stay even though it was vertualy on our doorstep from our Villa, one arriving we asked the Harry Potter lookalike for a table for four who replied in asking had booked a table even though being quite busy there were still plenty available and not many reserved which gave us the impression we were not welcome. We started with the Garlic Bread which was nice and then three of us had the Seabass and one had the Chief Stake, the Seabass was divine but the Chief Stake was served in a sauce which was not to my son's liking. On finishing our meal Potter pushed the dessert menu onto us even though we stated we didn't want a dessert which was being a bit too pushy for our liking and so we paid the bill and left. Can't really give a true reflection of the place with only one visit as some may find the manner of the waiters (only two) to their liking but we were not that impressed but the food was nice if a little over priced when compared...

We have dined at this family-run restaurant several times over the years. Every single time, the food has been delicious and the service has been friendly. We have always been very satisfied and every time we have returned the owners and staff have made us feel welcome. On the menu, there is a wide selection of meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes prepared in different ways. Starters and desserts are also available. A separate menu is available for children to order from. These days, we are glad to live close to this charming Portuguese-style restaurant, which is without a doubt the best restaurant in the area. Nach 14 Tagen an der Algarve mit mehreren exzellenten Restaurantbesuchen war dies die größte Enttäuschung, auch wenn das Ambiente in Ordnung ging. Das Schweinerückensteak war trocken und fad, lieblos flankiert von gebratenen Kartoffeln, welche eigenartig nach fettigem Speck schmeckten. Dazu gab es je eine ungewürzte, wässrige Rose Blumenkohl und Brokkoli, sowie eine rohe Scheibe Tomate und ein Teelöffel Möhrenraspel ebenfalls ohne Dressing. Auf dem Teller sah das schick aus, schmeckte mir aber nicht. Ich habe auch nicht verstanden, wo hier die Kochkunst stecken soll. Da hätte ich mir auch gleich eine Möhre, eine Tomate, einen Blumenkohl und einen Brokkoli kaufen und in Wasser garen können. Keine Sauce, alles geschmacklos und fade, kein Dressing, keine Kräuter. Der Fisch war ebenfalls ungewüzt, todgegrillt und extrem trocken. Gleiche traurige Beilage, ebenfalls keine Sauce oder Sud, jedoch zwei kleine Pellkartoffeln statt Bratkartoffeln. Die bestellte Tomatensuppe war mit Tomatenkernen und von noch nie gekannter Geschmacklosigkeit. Als Freund von Tomatensuppe habe ich so etwas wässriges noch nie gegessen. Der gemischte Salat kam ohne Dressing. Essig und Öl wurde über einen Spender dazu gereicht. Einzig die Pommes waren recht gut. Frisch gestiftelte Kartoffeln mit Schale. Als Nachtisch werden nur Fertigprodukte von Langnese gereicht. Es fand sich nichts selbstgemachtes auf der Karte. Da hätte ich auch gleich in den Supermarkt fahren können. Hinzu kam der gelangweilt wirkende Kellner, der zwar schnell war, jedoch eine Trauermine aufsetzte und merkwürze Witze mit ebendieser Miene machte. So pries er bei verteilen des Bestecks ein scharfes Hühnchen an, welches keiner bestellt hatte und ergriff das Besteck meiner Tochter, piekte eine Pommes auf und wollte ihr diese in den Mund stecken. Für das aufgetischte waren zudem die Preise zu hoch. Mir fällt wirklich kein Grund ein, warum man hier essen gehen sollte. Ein unverschämtes Gesamtpaket. Wir waren dort zu siebt essen.
