SemiXO — Restaurant in Lagoa

Waited more than half an hour between meals. Rib eye was raw, full of nerves and quality definitely didn’t correspond to the high price. Fries were soft and uninteresting. There was a loud dog close to the kitchen which is a no-go at a “fine” restaurant in my humble opinion. Starters were good and staff was friendly - very slow though. The place was cozy as well. All in all, I would definitely not recommend this place. Can do much much bettering for this price in Algarve. And as a good advice, ALWAYS go for Portuguese restaurants if you are visiting… they...

Wonderful restaurant near Carvoeiro. It’s not quite fine dining but the food is high quality for a reasonable price. They have a very cozy outside seating area in the garden. The staff was very friendly but we had some issues with our order: we ordered the Tenderloin without garlic but instead we became it with a lot of garlic. However, they brought us a new one. Absolutely fantastic restaurant! First of all, a lovely place to sit. You can sit outside with live music on Saturday and the beautiful fountain in a beautiful courtyard. But also inside that is modern and clean, but still very cozy. The food is truly sublime; fantastic chef. The card is very diverse, but far from standard. Whether you want a good piece of meat or an extensive vegan dish, everything is possible here! Personally I think this is a very good restaurant with a good quality / price ratio, especially for Portuguese...
