Stop Benfica — Restaurant in Lisbon

My wife and I first came here for a dessert. We were greeted warmly by Lucas G. We had the carmel mousse and it was fantastic! A couple of days later, when wanting something sweet, we tried the chocolate mousse, again delicious. Last night, we went here for dinner and Lucas greeted us as if we were coming into his home, so warm and kind, especially with our extremely limited Portuguese. My wife had the Argentine steak and it was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I can't remember the name of the dish I ate. It was ground and seasoned chicken formed into a kind of sausage shape, then breaded and deep fried. It was very well prepared and delicious tasting. Nous avons très bien mangé au Stop Benfica. L’ambiance est simple mais agréable, et le personnel nous a accueillis avec le sourire. Les plats étaient très bons, généreusement servis, avec une mention spéciale pour la sauce du "Bife à Stop" et le poisson parfaitement préparé. Petit détail à noter : on nous a proposé des accompagnements non commandés (beurre...), mais ils ont été retirés sans discussion quand nous avons précisé que nous ne voulions pas payer d'extras – ce qui montre un bon esprit. Et au final, le pain n’a même pas été facturé, ce qui est appréciable. Le lieu n’est pas particulièrement pensé pour les enfants mais je le recommande sans hésitation à ceux qui veulent découvrir une cuisine portugaise savoureuse et copieuse, dans un esprit local.
