I got engaged in September 2021. We booked this venue in October 2021, a month after getting engaged having not seen the venue in real life. Best decision ever. We trusted our wedding planner and the pictures/videos we’d seen and I’m so glad we did! At this point there hadn’t been any / many weddings since the refurb due to COVID. Even though the pictures were stunning we were nervous when we went to visit the venue in March 2022 in case we didn’t like it! Absolutely no need to worry as the venue is truly amazing. The views and the setting is beautiful and don’t get me started on the sunset 🤩😍

The food was amazing (albeit I didn’t eat much on the day due to the adrenaline!). The food tasting we had in March was amazing and they catered to our various requests. Our guests have been waxing lyrical about the food - with some of our guests getting two starters and two desserts! Canapés went down a treat (the fish tacos a personal fave!) and we were able to give our guests a choice of fillet of wild seabass and fillet steak for the main(with veg/salad and different types of potatoes on the side - fries, baby new potatoes and champ mash). The quality was impeccable and big portion sizes so nobody Was leaving hungry! Food at weddings can be hit and miss but not at CDL - we have had rave reviews from all of our guests. The pudding was my personal fave - a trio of desserts but essentially a mixed berry Eton mess (but put together and not messy!)

The staff were so attentive to guests allergies (one serious nut allergy and they checked in with him throughout) and they catered specially for my disabled sister.

The service and staff at Casa do Lago ensured everyone was fed and watered and never left wanting. Drinks were topped up before anyone could even think about asking. The wait staff were amazing with the guests and Beverley needs a huge shout out. She is fantastic and again made special effort with my parents and disabled sister - and all our guests have mentioned her - not sure how she got round so many people and made such a fantastic impact! Beverley is so friendly and will ensure the day runs smoothly and everything is perfect!

Oh and I cannot forget the cocktails - the espresso martinis and margaritas were delightful - top notch 👌

It is the most beautiful setting on the lake with stunning sunsets. The interior of the restaurant is just as nice as the outside which is not the case at a lot of venues!

This venue is worth every penny and will ensure you have the best wedding.

The beauty of having our wedding here is being able to go back for meals and remember the best day of our lives.

We were 6 for dinner at 20:30h The decor is fine and the tables well distanced And the restaurant half full We had the menus and we were told that we had to hurry to order because the kitchen was closing at 20:40h!!!!! Nobody told us that whence booked by phone the day before Obviously there were some dishes missing but that could happen During the dinner the service was very hectic Our host has to pour the wine on because nobody was coming to help us with it There was half a bottle of champagne left but if we wouldn’t ask for it they would serve it Then during our main course they started to come with a big trolley from the kitchen full of plates and cutlery and started to put them away in the cupboard behind us The nose was unbearable !!!!
