Restaurante Tucanos — Restaurant in Loulé

Arrogant waiter (possibly posing as a Maitre d') who refused to allow us to dine outside as 'fully booked'. In truth, one outside table was used all evening and three inside - ours and a party with adults in one table and children in the other. We had a number of cocktails - all bar one were very watery... The food was poor. A reasonable sized goats cheese was ruined by the 'salad' which accompanied it. It was a mushy concoction of leaves bound in some sort of white sauce - disgusting. Bread wasn't offered and had to be asked for, oil and balsamic given grudgingly. The only bright spot was the tiger prawns, which were enjoyed, although we have eaten better locally. The chateaubriand was requested medium and delivered mostly raw. Pudding choice limited to 'what they had' rather than what was on the menu. A disappointing evening in all respects. Good restaurant located in a very nice Quinta do Lago resort 😁. Inside or outside sitting with view to a lovely quiet swimming pool. Although, in my view, there is some room for improvement on what concerns the restaurant styling (somewhat outdated), I must give a 4 stars on the food and service quality. Porc 'secretos', African rice, Fillet Mignon...perfection achieved 👍 Multi-lingual table service...

The type of restaurant that cancels a reservation that was made with 5 months in advance because they have a big group going. So you cannot count with your reservation. The worst restaurant to go normal food but they think they are fine...
