Lakeside Country Club — Hotel in Loulé

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment, it is really big, well equipped scrupulously clean.||Location is good and is quiet. We didn’t use any of the facilities, breakfast ok - nice to have included as only there for two nights. ||Main bug bear is the booking process and bed situation for families - so be aware. ||Booking for family of three, put the requirements into the website and came back with an option and price. All fine - book. Then, even though we had booked for three, there was an added €50 for use of the sofa bed. ||When we arrived, very late, a cot bed had been put out in our room - for a 9 year old (which they knew age at booking) and not the full sofa bed. We moved the cot bed and child couldn’t fit as really for a 3/4 year old. ||Mentioned this to reception, along with the fact that there should not be an added cost when you put the number of people in the search. ||The full sofa bed was done for the second night, though child had decided to stay at grandparents instead. ||Two recommendations: |1. Change website so extra charges are clear at booking for included children|2. Take account ages of children for what bed to use. ||This would save irritation by customers. Unlikely to stay again as this has all been said directly to the team and been met with...

Lovely spacious and clean 2 bedroomed apartment with balcony overlooking the resort area. The air con was excellent, and the daily servicing of the apartment was appreciated! Reception staff on check-in and check-out were all very friendly and helpful! Also, very pet friendly...|The indoor poor was excellent and very clean. The onsite restaurant served the inclusive breakfast and had outside seating which allowed us to sit with our dog. Lovely lady serving breakfasts.... The restaurant at night served a good choice menu in very pleasant surroundings, again with extremely helpful and friendly staff. |Good onsite parking but some stairs to negotiate! The location is in the heart of the Quinta do Lago area and a car was essential; the longish walk to the beach and board walks was only by road, about 15 minutes to The Shack, but not that many bars and restaurants close by. Apartments are spacious and clean albeit difficult to get luggage up if on top floor. |We had issues with air con and drainage smells from bathroom. The air con was however fixed immediately which was excellent service. The Senna restaurant was amazing as were the staff in the restaurant and around the pool. |The food at Senna is exceptional and I was surprised it wasn’t busier. |Breakfast was also extremely well organised and good. |On arrival it would be nice to be informed of the bus that apparently goes to Quinta each day apart from weekends and also a leaflet of some form about the services available to be left in the room. ||I wouldn’t stay again mainly due to some of the reception ladies being somewhat retisant in assisting and I thought the pool area was akin to a concrete mass without any plants or aesthetic benefit to an area you are resting in. |Pool was lovely and a fabulous...
