I would avoid Take Away !! They do not know their own menu and claim a dish that is on the menu did not exist. They announce 20 minutes waiting time (which for pizza is very steep). People use take away for speed and convenience not to enjoy waiting time at the reception. After 25 minutes they say the pizzas are in the oven and announce 5 more minutes. My best friend is a top 50 pizza guy in Europe - actually in the top 10 - I know for a fact that once in the oven, pizzas cook in a few minutes. After 35 minutes they announce there is a delay and ask for yet another 3 minutes. They then come with a fake smile and offer a soft drink. Finally I got my pizzas after close to 50 minutes. I live nearby, yet by time I got home the pizzas were cold 🥶. I also added a picture of my wife's bruschetta... first time I see something something so poorly presented and by the way where is the mozzarella that is supposed to be on it ?? The staff at the reception provided us repeatedly with poor and incorrect information. Yet they should transparent and honest about what they can do and the timeline they can commit too. They don't care and it shows: They get their money and the place is busy enough for them to continue to be incredibly obnoxious. Generally the restaurant is busy and noisy, service is random: some good, some bad. The food is OK in the restaurant. Unfortunately, some of the better dishes were removed from the menu. The place is often packed and customers are treated with limited attention. The Algarve offers plenty of lesser known but better...

If you’re not a local read this:

Garlic bread was average. Can’t say it’s authentic since garlic bread isnt an actual Italian dish to begin with, only bruschetta is.

1 star for the service. Our waitress claimed pecarino was “salami”. We asked for the eggplant to be removed from our pasta - but they weren’t. We asked for garlic to be added to the pizza, but it wasnt.

I find it a bit weird that orders are sent via cell phones to the kitchen - I am aware the restaurant faced issues with the internet that day, nonetheless still unprofessional. We’d try draw the server’s attention and she’d literally say “wait give me 5 minutes” and get back on her phone, and once done typing she’d not come back to our table 5 or even 10 minutes later… how unprofessional.

Tagliatelle: menu states both truffle and truffle oil as ingredients, therefore we’d expect both. However. The past only had the latter. Why write “truffle” when you can’t add the shavings.

Pizzas are average at best. Didn’t find the base sauce too appealing. The restaurant claims it’s a local favourite, but as a tourist I don’t see the hype.

Now here’s what’s actually good on the menu - desserts! The dark chocolate mousse is rich and divine. The banoffee is sweet and you can taste banana to an extent, but is not too overpowering which is why I loved it! The pannacotta is great aswell if you enjoy the floral flavours.

Lastly, the sangria casavostra is a sangria made with Prosecco and red berries. I usually prefer purely red wine sangrias, but I surprisingly...

We came here while on holiday and got takeaway as the restaurant required reservation. The female staff taking our order was very patient and polite. I had the funghi pizza and tagliatelle di manzo e tartufo.

The fungi pizza tasted really nice but I wasnt expecting them to throw an entire bucket of mushroom on the pizza like that. It made it quite unappetising so I had to remove a bunch of them. Other than that it tasted really good. The texture of the tagliatelle and flavour of the sauce was really good but most pieces of the beef were burnt completely black (as you can see in the picture). How can you serve burnt meat to your customers? It ruined the entire dish and made it taste so bitter. I didnt even realise that the meat was burnt at first until i took a bite and the bitterness ruined my tastebuds, so i could no longer enjoy the rest of the dish. So disappointing for a restaurant that seems very high class. Im sure they only served the burnt meat because we ordered for takeaway instead of dining in and they knew they would get away with it, because theres no way they didnt notice...
