Leitão do Prior — Restaurant in Loures

We went here on a whim from the hotel we were staying at before our flight the next day.

It was amazing!! The staff were great (I’m pretty sure the owner and the rest of the family were there for dinner - and some of the family was working)

We had all the starters from garlicky olives to the fresh chorizo, sourdough bread. The main was a suckling pig with homemade potato chips and a side salad with a great dressing.

After dinner we shared a nice home made dessert of condensed milk, coffee cookie and whipped cream with a hint of orange.

One of the staff came over with some house made “fire water” which contained honey, cinnamon and some moonshine! It was delicious and made us feel like part of the family!

We would definitely recommend this spot for a great meal, great staff and atmosphere - the total was so cheap it doesn’t even compare to the overall experience. Not a place to pass...

This restaurant is a typical Lisbon restaurant (Tasca) where you can eat roasted piglet. It is not spectacular piglet, but it is good enough if you live nearby and just want to scratch that itch. If you have the time, I would advise you to go a little further into Loures, for instance... But it works and not that expensive also. So, I will definitely be back. Service was extremely nice, the owner was extremely kind even with us ruining his lunch hour. They (all the helpers) knew best and we're eating a spectacular looking feijoada... I now know what to...

Prato Principal: Leitão da Bairrada com Batata Frita Caseira Sobremesa: Mousse de Chocolate

O Leitão apresenta uma cor dourada e pele estaladiça. Carne de boa qualidade e bem confecionada. A batata frita é um requinte e das melhores batatas fritas já alguma vez degustadas.

A Mousse de Chocolate tinha um sabor intenso e uma qualidade acima da média, no entanto por razões de refrigeração ou conservação, (alguns dias consecutivos sem ser consumida) a crosta ficou demasiado dura tornando a experiência um pouco desagradável.

O serviço teve algumas falhas apesar das regras de serviço terem sido cumpridas e da amabilidade prestada por parte do funcionário (provável dono do restaurante).

O ambiente era um pouco escuro, o local encontrava-se limpo e fresco.
