Solar da Vila — Restaurant in Lourinhã

Good Service and that´s about all you can say about this place.

Have no idea why people rate this so high because the kitchen and its food is the most embarrassing and disgusting I had in all the years I am living in Portugal.

First of all had to wait about 40 minutes for our starters and then got a what I only describe as a bowl of fat, choco frito without taste and served with a sauce tasting like meat. Then the main courses meat over cooked, my wife got some dry meat with some sauce dumped over it and last but not least a francesinha that was realy a disaster, 2 slices of not toasted bread with all cold ingredients and a sauce which tasted like it came straight out of a pack.

Cheap, yes very cheap, just like the taste.

Feel bad for the waiters because they are realy doing their best and are doing a pretty good job.

Maybe for the owner an idea to charge a little more and take on some real cooks!!!

By the way, rated this one star and to be honest even this is much to much!

Would realy stay away...

Solar Da Vila is an amazing restaurant with very reasonable prices and large portions of food be it meat or fish.

Of course this would mean nothing if the quality of the food were not as good as it is.

The portions known as 1/2 dose are more than enough for 1 person and cost around €6.50 whilst a full dose will serve 2 without problem.

They also have a children's menu and vegetarian options.

Daily menus are available so be sure to ask what the specials are for the day.

The restaurant can get quite busy so you may have to wait to be seated but you can always purchase to take away.

Parking is available and it is children friendly.

The staff seemed to take pride in making sure that everything was fine and to our liking.

If you get the chance I recommend you eat here as I am sure you will not be...

What a great spot, very nice to have a place like this in Lourinha!

The menu is extensive, ingredients is excellent, the fruit is well executed, and fresh. Desserts are amazing and the price point is very good.

Service is on point as this place is extremely busy all the time. If you like living tip and you want to lift tip, make sure you leave cash because the credit card machines don’t have the option.

Atmosphere is very good. This place is rocking the whole time, we were here with a group of 17 and it was super noisy, but fun. They packed the room really well, so there’s a lot of people and be prepared to line up if you don’t book ahead .
