Die Kirche Nossa Senhora da Conceição wurde Ende des 15. Jahrhunderts von der Familie Tristão Vaz Teixeira erbaut und zeichnet sich durch manuelinische, manieristische und barocke Architektur aus. Sie hat im Laufe der Jahre einige Veränderungen im Inneren erfahren, ohne jedoch die ursprüngliche Struktur zu verändern, in der sich noch drei von D. Manuel eingebaute Marmorsäulen befinden. Diese Längskirche hat ein einziges Kirchenschiff, einen vergoldeten Chor und einige barocke Verzierungen sowie eine holzverkleidete Decke

A Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Conceição, mandada construir pela família de Tristão Vaz Teixeira nos finais do século XV, apresenta uma arquitetura manuelina, maneirista e barroca.

A Igreja Matriz de Machico, dedicada a Nossa Senhora da Conceição sofreu algumas alterações no seu interior ao longo dos anos sem, no entanto, sem alterar a estrutura inicial onde ainda existem três colunas de mármore oferecidas por D. Manuel. Esta igreja de planta longitudinal possui uma nave única manuelina, uma capela-mor maneirista em talha dourada e alguma decoração barroca.
