The pizza was excellent—great flavor, high-quality ingredients, and a perfectly thin crust. I really have no complaints about the food. However, the service was a completely different story. Both the waiter and waitress kept checking on us ( approximately 9-11 times during 1 hour 15 minutes) repeatedly and rushing us to order and to get rid of us as quickly as possible. We ordered starters, drinks, pizzas, and even a second round of drinks, so it’s not like we were just sitting there nursing a glass of water. We weren’t loud or disruptive, and we spent a significant amount of money while being respectful and courteous.
Despite this, they seemed determined to get rid of us. They even brought the bill without asking while we were still enjoying our drinks, which felt incredibly rude. The restaurant wasn’t full, so it’s not as if they needed the table urgently. It didn’t feel personal since we don’t know them, but the behavior was baffling and disappointing.
I’ve never left a negative review before, and I feel conflicted about doing so now. However, I think it’s important to share my experience so others can decide if this is the right place for them. If you’re okay with eating quickly and moving on, the food is absolutely worth it. But if you’re looking for a relaxed dining experience where you can enjoy your meal at your own pace, I wouldn’t...
Read moreI don't know how we stumbled on this place, but every great adventure has a final resting spot, and we couldn't have asked for a better one.
We had the suppli with octopus (special for the day), arrabiata, pomodoro e basilico, two orders of tiramisu, and affogato with a shot of grappa. Not to mention the bottle of wine.
The food was incredible. The thought and care put into the food was evident the moment it came out. After our first bite, we knew we found something special. If I could eat here every day, I would. The food reminded me of my nonna, maybe because it was made with love.
The people make the place, and Bocca's people make you feel like family. The enchanting Beatrice is attentive with her care and heavenly with her recommendations. Tiago is very sweet and goes out of his way to make sure you feel comfortable. Emanuele is a professional in every aspect of the word. He chooses only the finest ingredients, and it makes a world of difference. Alessandro will show you the best drinks, and his passion for it is contagious.
I pray for the success of restaurants like this, but the truth is I don't think anything can stop them...
Read moreI was at Bocca pizzeria ericeira yesterday the place was extremely busy as it was a bank holiday but everyone that worked there remained friendly and helpful throughout. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very good and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and having fun. The food is excellent very good value for money and with a friendly attentive service. I just read a review of someone who complained that they couldnt pay using their international card and had to go to withdraw cash whilst their pizza got cold, I was there the guys couldnt have been more helpful they kept your pizza on top of the oven to stay warm for you and in Ericeira most restaurants only take cash this shouldnt be a surprise! You like everyone who wanted to eat were warned there was a 15 minutes wait so if you couldnt or didnt want to wait you could have just said no thank you and left to go somewhere else. To also be offended that you were called darling is just a joke no one ignored you or were rude to you but what was offensive was your comment using the name of other pizzeria s it just makes me question your intention...
