I have been a customer of Polo Norte for over 30 years. I appreciate, in fact, I used to appreciate the quality of their pastries. Yesterday, at Lisbon airport, I didn't hesitate to buy 3 packets of Polo Norte pastéis de nata to give to friends who love them, friends who live in Scandinavia. The tarts were really, really bad. We ordered an almond tart which came with a small but very alive wriggling worm that had a white body and a black dot in the front - my guess is that it’s a maggot - luckily I spotted it ! we returned it but they didn’t replace it nor take it off the bill… on top of that some of the food we ordered never arrived.
