A Barraquinha Original - Restaurante — Restaurant in Matosinhos

I went here because my intended destination the across the road had a queue outside and this place had free tables. I ordered a half dose of swordfish with fries and a half bottle of wine. The waiter asked me if it was good. It wasn't bad, but it would have been much better if I hadn't had to wait so long, and if my piece of fish had been a more generous size and less salty. It was also flabby and didn't taste especially fresh. A half portion is usually sufficient and sometimes has been more than I can eat, but once I'd scraped off the skin and removed the skeleton, there was very little actual fish. At least it wasn't too expensive at 22 euros for one person though 2 euros for a few pieces of bread and 1.50 for a little tray of olives seems a bit much. I guess there was a reason why the other restaurant was so...

After a long wait in line outside with a one-year-old child, a waitress with an unhappy face came out and waved her hands at us, indicating there were no available seats. We remained standing and after another 10 minutes, a man called us to a table. The woman constantly rolled her eyes and walked around with a displeased look as if we had done something to her. Madam, if you’re having a bad day, don’t ruin the customers’ mood. You work for them. If you don't like something, go to the beach and weave fishing nets.

Everything else was excellent. The rest of the staff was very friendly. The fish and pastries...

Nous cherchions un restaurant au bord de mer pas trop loin de l'aéroport pour pouvoir y déjeuner avant de prendre l'avion.

Nous sommes tombés sur celui-ci "A Barraquinha Original". Très petit restaurant au bord de la mer dans la région de Lavra, mais n'ayant pas de vue directe sur la mer.

En entrée nous avons pris deux assiettes de salade de poulpe. Le poulpe était cuit correctement, pas élastique et savoureux.

En plat nous avons pris un Turbot (Rodovalho) un Loup de Mer (Robalo) ainsi qu'un pavé de saumon (salmão), le tout grillé au charbon sur le grill à l'entrée du restaurant.

Encore une fois, cuissons parfaites, la chair n'était pas sèche mais bien onctueuse et gélatineuse aux abords de l'arrête centrale, top !

Nous n'avons pas pris de desserts par manque de temps.

Cependant je leur met 4 étoiles car le service était débordé (il aurait peut-être fallu un serveur de plus ?). Mais aussi parce que payer 48€ pour un turbot et n'avoir en garniture que des patates c'est clairement abusé. Pareil pour tous les autres plats, uniquement des patates en garniture alors que les prix sont bien plus élevés que la moyenne du pays... (Voir ticket en photo)

Dans tous les autres restaurants ou j'ai été pour manger la même chose, non seulement c'était moins cher, mais il y avait aussi bien plus de garniture (choux, carottes, patates, etc...)

Donc voilà, bon restaurant mais la prochaine fois j'irais tout de même...
