A Castrejinha — Restaurant in Melgaço

A newer looking coffee shop/ bakery, typical Portuguese style and modern. The selection was quite good and they also carried artisan style breads. Even though the town is somewhat tourist driven, the prices are still moderate. I paid €2.10 for a apple tart and a nice latte. Certainly in USA that would be $11.00 + tax + the counter service will request a tip. If you are visiting this small town, Castro Laboriero ( an ancient 12th century town, with structures still intact) in Geres National Park, then you must visit this bakery cafe. Plus the host/ owner is real nice...

Una empresa completa, con todo lo que puedes necesitar. Tienen bar, tienen cafetería, tienen pastelería, y un pequeño colmado con las cosas básicas, fruta, ultramarinos, y también incluso bebidas (porto, vinho verde albariño). Para la merienda de la tarde, la pastelería está estupenda: tartaletas de manzana, bollos de arroz, los muy ricos bollos de coco y pasteles de nata, cruasanes, galletas, donuts caseros, así como tartas enteras, de nata, tipo san marcos y un budin muy rico. Muy recomendable, y nada caro, muy buena relación...
