I am shocked that there are so many 4 & 5 ⭐️ reviews for this place. We did not think it was anywhere worthy of such rankings and we were sorry because Alentejo is our favorite region and cuisine. But for that reason, I simply cannot attribute top ranking to this gimmicky restaurant. Most of the energy is out into the decor and presentation but less into the actual quality and flavor of the food.
The starters were all small dishes covered in Saran Wrap in a regional platter. They are cold. You are charged by what you unwrap and try. Beyond that, the menu is very limited, not at all expansive like the cuisine of the region.

I'm only knocking a star because it's not a restaurant to go everyday and traditional presentation could be improved sometimes (meat being served with lots of bones for example, they could streamline it a bit) and... Those songs from Alentejo playing in the background really could go into retirement, this is not the "house of alentejo" for old people to gather and sing. Also, some restaurants back in alentejo manage to topple it, bit of course that's a hit far away for a...
