We made a special trip for Boca de Leão due to one of our group member's need for gluten-free food items due to a celiac condition. We were so excited to learn that he would be able to enjoy the best Portuguese pastries without concern for his health. We purchased a sampling of several popular items - all of which created a wonderful Portuguese snacking experience! Brought my family here with me because I wanted to finally try some Portuguese pastelaria goods while being celiac. Not only was this place my heaven but my family who are used to the normal wheat-full pastries also enjoyed the goods here. I drove 25 minutes just to try it and it was 100% worth it for the Portuguese custard tarts (Pastel de nata) and the eclairs.
