The place is ok, but the food is not good. I ordered a two-person grilled seafood platter. They were not grilled; they were pan-fried. It came to a big plate with almost no seafood, just 2 shells and 2 shrimps by a person. In rest, everything was fish with no taste. The atmosphere was horror. At 5 tables away, a child shouted for half an hour while I was sitting and eating. No one intervened, not even the manager, a waiter, or the boss. This is “only” about the stuff and the early morning coffee ☕️ Once I came late in the evening for a degustif and they prepared in a special way the glad to embrace the taste of the rum . What a difference!!! Being near by I needed coffee daily from r a few days. First time at 7:10 am it was quite, nice chat with Carolina. The coffee is soooo good. 7:30 the place is full with working men who start their day with a coffee. I just love the moment…. It’s worthy to come very early for a coffee...

It was ok. But man, the portions are big. I don't know if that's everywhere in madeira but if there's 2 people it's better to order 1 thing. Or you can take out the leftovers. Another thing I've noticed is that the spices in the meat are all the same. The steak, ground beef and kabob(idk what its called) all had the same flavor. If they changed it up it would be cool.
