Restaurante Cenáculo — Restaurant in Porto

For a restaurant with this grade of evaluation I expected more. I live in this neighborhood and this Restaurante is overrated. There's a lot of others with same price range better than this place. Surely, will not go back again.

Location: is a good location easily to find a spot to parking.

Ambient: very noisy, not suitable for a good conversation. Some acoustic treatment is needed so people will feel more comfortable inside.

Staff - only 1 person collecting the requests. Tried to make his better. But despite of being alone, the quality of attention and some training is needed in order to bring more quality, attention to the staff.

Food - two meals were requested, both of them were definitely not fresh. 1- Salmon with banana, they forgot to send the banana with the fish(later on the guy on the staff came and threw it over the food in he plate without asking). Came with a lot of spikes, it supposed to be removed from a salmon steak.

2- bovine steak with mushroom sauce - 2 little pieces of stakes, really tiny with a mushroommountain over it. It was no mushroom sauce, just mushroom placed over it. It had been served with a small portion of rice 1 table spoon.

Price - very expensive price paid by food, cost/quality...

This was the first place we ate when we moved to Porto 3 months ago. Our waiter Martins made us feel right at home. The owners, Pedro and his beautiful wife, made our Valentine's Day neighborhood friendly and special. Waitress Carolina chats with us with her perfect English when we stop for our afternoon coffee. La experiencia como tal fue un horror, pasamos por la calle vimos la promoción de la pizarra y decidimos entrar a cenar, experiencia, trato desagradable por parte del personal, la promoción que anunciaban en su pizarra una mentira el precio de la hamburguesa era 3€más cara en carta y para nuestra sorpresa, luego nos cobraron el pan aparte cosa que en la pizarra te ofrecían en el conjunto. En resumen cenamos los típicos platos combinados de los años 70 hechos con mala gana por parte del servicio que nos miraba con mala cara por haber pedido estos platos, la calidad no era ni de 3 euros y medio como anunciaban en la pizarra. No sé cómo serán ni los platos portugueses que anuncian ni los platos de marisco pero si en la básica comida fallan no lo recomiendo para nada. Es de puntuar que me he dedicado durante 20 años a la hostelería y siempre hay que tener una sonrisa en la cara aunque no tengas un buen día y siempre que te trató el mundo por igual se puede gastar dinero en un plato de 6€ como en un plato de 40€.
