Pizzeria Pico da Atalaia offers a modern and clean setting, with a standout feature being its impressive outside seating balcony boasting panoramic sea views—though on our visit, we opted to sit inside. The interior is bright and contemporary, making for a pleasant dining atmosphere, if not especially memorable.

The menu is extensive, focusing heavily on thin-crust pizzas with a variety of toppings. While the pizzas are decent and satisfy basic cravings, they don’t quite reach the heights of outstanding flavor or creativity. The crust is consistently thin and crisp, but the overall taste is just fine—nothing to rave about, but certainly not disappointing either.

Service was a mixed bag; some servers were notably friendly and attentive, while others seemed less engaged. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but it did affect the overall experience. Prices are reasonable for the quality and location, making it fair value for money, especially considering the views and ambiance.

Would I rush back? Probably not. The food is good enough without being remarkable, and while the setting is attractive, especially for those seeking a modern pizzeria with sea views, it doesn’t stand out enough to become a favorite. That said, I wouldn’t rule out returning at some point, especially if in the area and in the mood for a straightforward pizza. For a casual meal with friends or family, Pizzeria Pico da Atalaia does the job—just don’t expect to be blown away by either the food or...

We came here on a relatively busy night i think. There were 6 guys working in the kitchen and 4 in the watering service, but we had to wait quite long for our drinks and food. There were still a couple tables open, so it wasnt packed. Felt like they didnt have it under control.

Upon being seated, we were told that they were only doing pizza and salads today, which was a shame, because my wife wanted pasta.

The pizza was large, the crust super super thin. (Some people like this guess, not my favorite)

When walking up to the entrance, we smelled a very nasty urine smell. Inside it was better, but after a while also the inside started to smell like urine... Doesnt help with the appetite.

Would recommend taking out if you like super thin crusted pizza, otherwise find a...

We have just spent a wonderful week on the beautiful island of Madeira. We only wish we’d known about this terrific Restaurant sooner. We’ve eaten here twice, and the standard of food is exemplary as is the attention to detail of the staff. The Owner, Paula, is also on hand to answer any questions etc . On our next visit, we shall eat here always, As mentioned, the food is terrific, but so is the cost. Can’t believe how excellent and terrific value for money this restaurant is. BRILLIANT. Alan and...

I had a wonderful experience at Pizzeria Pico Da Atalaia in Caniço, Madeira. The pizzas are fantastic, with a thin and crispy crust that makes them easy to enjoy, even though they look large. The flavours are spot on, using fresh, high-quality ingredients that really stand out. On top of the great food, the view is simply stunning! It’s the perfect spot to relax with a delicious meal while soaking in the beautiful scenery. Highly recommend it for both the food and the amazing atmosphere!

Fortunately we arrived at 7pm on a Saturday evening and were immediately seated. Within 30 minutes a long queue began to form of families waiting for tables to become vacant. Seeing how popular the restaurant is I assumed the food must be special. I was not disappointed - the two pizzas we ordered were served quickly and we thoroughly enjoyed them. Delicate thin pizza crust with perfectly balanced toppings. Highly recommended - we will return with friends and family.
