Dear Laranjinha Team, your food, service and Atmosphere are all Amazing. We’ve been here now for 8 Days, every time we went somewhere else to eat we regretted not coming back to eat your food instead.
I will comment on the Burgers and the Steak with sides. Theres more i tried but theres to much good to say.
The Burgers are Fresh, taste like heaven and will make u want to eat another one right after. The mix of i think Dry aged and fresh meat is exquisite. The patty is the prefect size, the salad and tomato, and in the Laranjinha Burger the Caramelised onions are made to perfection. The buns are very tasty, always seemed fresh… and the sauce combines everything from the burger in your mouth to get an explosion of taste, wich i can say u need to try.
The Steak i ordered medium rare and it came as such. Unfortunately i had a weird stomach that day and couldn’t manage to eat much but the taste and the mouth feeling of the Meat made to just perfection for me is heaven. The sides could of been cooked a bit more. (Here i have to say this really is personal choice, i like mine almost too well done or where u can just push with ur tongue to the top of your mouth and its ready to swallow). As i said i couldn’t eat much but my friend finished my plate and he said they were perfect just the way he liked it.
All in all i can only recommend this establishment. Not only for the food but also for the very kind and friendly service and atmosphere they provide. Once u walk in like in any good restaurant you are seated and they pull and push the chair for you to sit down. They will come and ask if the food is good and they will ask you if u want another drink once you’re finished with your glass. They always smile and you can hear that they work so very well as a team in the way they speak with each other. (I don’t know them other that from where they work but it seemed to me like they’re also good friends outside of work).
The Dining are is well lit, clean and the tables are a welcome/pleasant distance apart. The Bar area is very beautiful and the drinks (Mojito, St. Germain Spritz, Grey goose etc.) are perfect just perfect.
Oh my I’ve not run out of good things to say but ill end it here. For me if i come back to Madeira again its on the very top of my list of place/restaurants to visit again.
Ps: the toilets...

Read moreLocated in a quiet street in Caniço, this unassuming looking bistro is a little gem to find. Nice space, with loads of natural light, kind of minimally decorated, very clean and with amazing staff that master the art of waitering, specially the smiling Balinese lady that enhanced the dining experience. The food and wine menu are excellent, the portions are big and quality/ price is great. As you come in, you can see a massive wood grill in the far end, encased in glass, and a faint smell of meat being barbequed that makes you start salivating. Assorted starters and mains with emphasis on grilled meats and fish, they offer different cuts of beef, which they will bring to the table for you to see and choose, while offering advice as which cut to order depending on how hungry you are. We shared a massive T-bone, issue was that my friend likes the beef cooked medium, while I like it medium rare... "Not an issue" said the Balinese lady, they cut that big piece in 2 and cooked one part more than the other, and brought this on a wooden tray, already cut, separated by the bone. It is great to find places likes this while on holiday, they add to good memories had while abroad. Totally recommend...
