Just add Vino — Restaurant in Santa Cruz

Absolute gem unfortunately under represented on searches. Deli and wine shop come restaurant, the cheese and charcuterie board a wonder for the money. Three meats, five cheeses, home made fruit compote, grapes, raspberries, cornichons with toasted bread, grain bread and fruit and nut bread for 17 euros for two people. Wine you could taste separately, before ordering a full bottle was the best we have had in 10 days 14 euros. Inside is lovely with a full wall of wine for sale and various treats. We left full and slightly drunk as one bottle wasn't enough. Location isn't the best (on a quiet'ish roundabout) but give it a try if you don't want standard fare and are in Canico de Baixo. 34 euros for a full snack board for two and wine (vegan by accident not design) and sparkling water. You can put an individual board together if you don't eat meat or even if you are lactose intolerant you can go with charcuterie only. An amazing little gem in Madeira.... We stayed at the Four Views Oasis in caniço, and this little place was just a couple minutes away. We are wine lovers and with a great appetite for new cuisines, and this place did just that. The owner created some "tapas" like little dishes while we were there, realy fresh and tasty. We also had a cheese board latter with some nice French red wine. They were really attentive and welcoming, altho this place for what we gathered was only open for a month or so, we hope it stays like it for the many years to come. We will definitely be back. Went here last night for a quick drink while waiting for the restaurant to open next door, we were enjoying the wine and lovely chilled out vibe we ended up staying, this place is amazing I had the best avocado toast with fresh feta cheese and beautiful topping it was incredible. We were on our way out and I spotted the most amazing cheesecake I've ever seen, so we stayed and enjoyed every mouthful delicious. The owners are wonderful I can't wait to go back there.
