Marie was an incredible at Hosting us on our final night in the town. We were just in for the weekend and were a little disappointed in the local vegetarian options for one of the members of our group. It was impossible to find something that we all could be satisfied with… that is, until we stumbled upon this place. It was the best restaurant experience I’ve had since moving to Europe, hands-down. The passion of explaining the beginnings of the restaurant, the origins of every dish, the location of each ingredient—I was impressed, to say the least. Everyone was so in love with our experience sitting on the patio with wine and candlelight under a tree with this cascading branches. I would recommend anything on the menu as we all were so in love with every flavor we encountered. For dinner, I personally had the Sunday roast and found the flavors to be so homey and filled with love. And then my vegetarian friend had the (homemade) Seiten, and he said it was one of his favorite meals out he’s ever had for vegetarian food. For dessert, we had the chocolate tart and banofi pie (I think that’s what it was called) as a table and shared. I wish I would’ve ordered my own Banofi pie because I could’ve eaten an entire cup myself. My only complaint was that I wish we found it earlier in our stay. A MUST VISIT if you’re in the area.

A fortunate discovery! A cosy food place away from the busy and crowded beach side restaurant and venues. The space has outdoor sitting in a pleasant terrace facing a calm back alley. Indoor sitting is simple, airy and filled with plants and art pieces by Oli, but also by others. Food is flexible having a vegetarian list and a non vegetarian list. The main criteria is that ingredients are as organic and healthy as possible. As both owners are from Germany, food has a german taste in the portions and its taste. Presentation is delicate. Food is abundant. Sauces are prepared in house. Desserts are very recommendable. Service is friendly and familiar. Both Marie and Oli interact regularly with the clients. Most of the times it is only the two of them, so service is not the fastest. But super adequate for portuguese standards. The bread is made in the house and is superb, aromatized with herbs, wet and fluffy. One may order a portion of bread to go, with 24h in advance. Restaurant is adapting rhei achedule to the existing public. But as of now, it opens for both lunch and dinner during weekends. For weekdays it serves dinners only. Closes on Tuesdays. The menu design is a bit confusing and would benefit from a redesign.

A hidden gem in Armação de Pêra - Algarve 😀 Pros: 1. Amazing food, highly recommend the Mix grill and you will feel the flavour of the chicken, lamb and chorizo to another level. My partner had the speciality fish of the day. 2. The service. Marie was very attentive to our needs and was talking us through the selection, what to expect in the flavour, and Ingredients used. 3. Went on a Sunday evening and the place wasn't full. This meant more quality time with the restaurant and not booking in advance. 4. The restaurant does lunch menus at €10, something to keep in mind if you are hungry at that time. Cons: 1. Card payment wasn't possible when we went. There was an ATM nearby, however it charged me 4€ fees to withdraw money. 2. The dessert was amazing, including chocolate, fruits, ice cry. However as there was only one choice, you are kind of forced to have that or no dessert. Overall, Marie provided a great service and the lamb I had now lives in my good memories from Portugal 😀🐑🥩

WOW, JUST WOW. This restaurant is impeccable across the board with the quality in their food, their service, their cleanliness, their experience, and their hospitality. My husband and I came to this place on OUR HONEYMOON, and boy did it leave an impression on us. We were lucky enough to get to talk with the owners during our meal and they tell you the ins and outs about their food. This beautiful couple has out their soul and energy into every single bite. There is nothing this place doesnt have- they serve non veggy, vegetarian, and even VEGAN OPTIONS. They are so creative with their cooking and all their dishes. My husband and I are from NYC and weve been to a lot of high end restaurants and this one felt like we were in a high end NYC restaurant. Right away we can taste how authentic all the dishes were even down to the realness in their dips. We had many vegan dishes their and their food tasted so good better than even meat dishes! They give you a strong and delightful taste of portugal whether youre vegan or not. Their balance of flavors are never compromised. I ate every last bite, i was so full i had to be wheeled out of there LOL We had the vegan cataplana that was out of this world and the vegan cordon blue which was crispy as well as had that umami bite to it! We had a sample of tapas including the vegan meatballs, vegan sausage, vegan prawns, and oyster mushrooms. We had a homemade bread made from scratch by Marie herself that had this delicate flavors a garlic bread spread that she also makes homemade (you will die and go to heaven lol). Then Marie came out with her dessert sampler and every single dessert was bomb- from the decadent rich chocolate cake, to her biscuits, to her ice cream. We couldnt get enough. My husband is not vegan but shares vegan with me and said it was some of the best food he had ever tasted. Not only is the food impeccable but the service matches this sentiment. Marie and Oli are such hospitable people. It felt like we were eating in their home as guests staying with them. They are such complex and interesting people with a beautiful love story and together they are making their dreams come to life. This is truly a place to not miss whether you are a local or a tourist looking to get the true flavors of portugal. Here you will never leave feeling unsatisfied and it will be an experience that reminds you of warmth, love, and comfort...
