This place is lovely, whilst we perused the plentiful menu, we were served a choice of 3 covers and advised that we would only pay for what we ate. To assist our choice, we visited the fridge to see the fresh fish selection. Breaded cuttlefish and baby squid were selected as starters and when they were served it was the size of a main meal but without other items. Had we chosen vegetables this would have been an adequate meal. The main menu can be a little daunting at this point as many items are priced per kilo, this gives an uneasy sense of insecurity which turned out to be unfounded. We soldiered on and ordered two mains, a sea bream and a tuna steak, I ordered chips as I'm potatoe shy, and two beautiful meals were laid out in front of us. Dessert was not an option after the feast we consumed. The food was lovely, service friendly and knowledgeable, we were frequently asked if everything was satisfactory which is sadly lacking in too many restaurants these days. The outside terrace is set about 2m (6') above the pavement so out of the way of pedestrians and the odd carand overlooks a new building development and a beach view 100m away the other direction. The bill was presented in digital format on a tablet and the price was rather reasonable. We left full and satisfied. If I had any criticism then ask to taste the white wine, we ipted for the house white which was pleasant, but too subtle for my palette. Well done to the sea wolf team, superb, we highly recommend this place and look forward to...
Read moreVery disappointed given the ratings here. Place is located at the far end of Armação de Pera. It was a special night out for myself and my partner. Had high expectations which didn’t match the offering sadly The fish soup was tomato soup poorly seasoned and overwhelmed the few bits of fish. Round pasta rings took it down even more
The seafood platter was underwhelming. The “fresh” Oysters weren’t fresh. They had dried out and were sealed at the edge. The oysters hasn’t been detached from the shell. No sauce or anything in fact was offered to add flavour to the oyster (lemon, horseradish, mignonette … something? Anything?). The spiny lobster was dry. Overcooked. The white wine a Vinho Verde was not worth the price they charged. The owner needs to revisit the offering while he’s on vacation. I’ll never go back. Sorry I didn’t take pics. Very overpriced for what...
Read moreThis was a good restaurant for some tasty seafood. I wasn't prepared for the fish to still contain organs after being cooked, it is rare in America to have seafood with the entrails still in tact, but that may be a Portuguese custom that I am not familiar with. I am giving this restaurant four stars because while it was delicious I did have some issues with the ants outside, they were constantly harassing me at my table. We paid about 35 Euro for a mixed salad, the fish of the day, an octopus salad, and a coca cola which I believe is expensive when you're that close to the ocean. My companion was disappointed with the lack of vegetarian options. I would return to this restaurant, but if you are travelling with a...
