Mirante Santa Cruz — Restaurant in Torres Vedras

*review for Mirante upstairs restaurant.

We've been super excited for this to open. We are locals so really value anything that opens for us as we are fairly limited in Santa cruz.

We had high hopes as their other restaurants are great, as is the cafe downstairs.

The restaurant is beautiful, as is the food.

But I have a few points for feedback:

1. having the aircon on when it's cold. It's a powerful aircon making it very cold in there (when it's cool outside) and you can really feel the breeze from it even when sat quite far away.

2. menu is great...but having the option of a couvert, so bread, Olives, cheese. It was a Wednesday and we didn't want to have starters and mains, but we would like something small to snack on before the mains arrived. I think this is a fairly standard request to have this. I understand you don't want to be like the rest of the restaurants on the beach, but I'm sure you can do this option with your own personal touch. Also because there was no snack, we got our main course in just 10 mins, meaning we were in the restaurant for a meal for just 30 mins.

Unprofessional waiters. Had some tasteless music blasting in my ear at 14:00, to the point where I was having to raise my voice to be heard across a 50cm table. Attempted to order a cocktail and was told that no cocktails were to be served until 5pm despite being able to basically order a mixer and alcohol individually??? Dreadful, please dont be swayed by the renovated look. l wouldn't recommend far better beach bars on either side of...

Great beach restaurant, with a large offering of snacks and a variety of cuisines - from tacos 🌮 to seviche, pizza 🍕 and salads, chicken wings and avocado 🥑 toasts. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing, with an ocean view from almost any place. Highly recommended if you decide to hit Santa Cruz for a vacation...
