Villa Galega — Hotel in Torres Vedras

We stayed for the weekend in the guest house downstairs and had a fantastic time. We have stayed in quite a few properties over the year and this may have been the overall best experience we've ever had.

Property: It's a beautiful house from early 1900s that was fully renovated in the last couple of years, with incredible attention to details and taste. We had the chance to have a look and the entire house (both the guesthouse but also the suites upstairs and it's great all around. The guest house is 3 double bedrooms with each of them their full private bathroom (shower + toilet), one of them having a (massive) bathtub and separate shower. Bedding is high quality, would compare it to very comfortable hotels.

Swimming pool: It's wonderful, and heated to a comfortable temperature - this is great especially for young children.

Location: It's right in the center of Santa Cruz, yet in a smaller quiet street - we had absolutely no use for our car the entire weekend and walked a grand maximum of 3 minutes in any direction for Cafés, Restaurants, Supermarket, Beach. I honestly don't think it could be any better.

Really cosy and beautiful hotel 5 min. walk from the beach. The hostess made freshly squeezed orange juice for us every morning, which we loved!
