Knew the place before as well but try not to compare too much. Pros: diversity of menu, view (but only in first row 😅), staff super attentive (guess it's because it's new though), place feels quite spacious without being too overwhelming (imo), nice and affordable snacks Cons: mostly big tables close together, no privacy, some main dishes a bit pricey, day/night prices not common to me, no or not many vegan options & no label for that, got the wrong water (with gas instead without), menu says "1.5l" but in fact they only have 0.75l bottles -> pls change the menu!, no online menu or at the entrance so you could check it first All in all by day it's a nice place to relax because it's not so crowded. Unfortunately, they offer a lot of things I'm not interested in: alcohol and meat :D At the moment there are too many staff people, so you feel a bit observed.

Beautiful restaurant at the beach with a cozy atmosphere and nice drinks. Unfortunately we were really unlucky with our waitress. The waitress with bun, undercut, glasses, brown hair and chewing gum was really unfriendly and let us feel that she doesn’t want us to be here from the very first second. When my boyfriend asked for salt, she even pointed the finger to his plate and said, that this in the corner would be salt. As if he was dumb
it was actually me who needed the salt for the lasagna. Just bring the things we ask for, that’s simply your job! She didn’t bring the salt and also not the beer we asked for. I told another waiter about the bad service and he really saved our evening with his politeness and his attentiveness. 5/5 stars for him! We would return to have a drink at the beach but only when the unfriendly waitress is not around.

This place is very well decorated with plenty of people to serve you. If you order fish they bring u the fresh fish to ur table to pick it(waiter in picture was fantastic as well)amazing! Views are magnificent the ocean crashing on the beach as u eat. A variety of choices and kids options, really delicious, great presentation large servings and prices are really reasonable too. The ambiance, and view are worth the price, a patio outside is windy but more for just a drink. The cataplana oh my god! Can easily feed 3 and was the best thing I have had in Portugal, fresh fish and seafood with a delicious broth. We loved it

Our experience was not good. We have been in Portugal for 3 weeks and it was the worse experience yet. We were seated as soon as we walked in. We were offered a menu by one waitress. She didnt come back to take our order, someone else came 10 minutes later. I asked for a well done beef skewer, the waitress ensured me that it would be well done and that she would go to the kitchen to make sure it was well done. When it came to the table by a different waiter it was still bloody. Another waitress had to take it back to the kitchen because the waitress didnt come back to check on us. We finished and put the plates to the side because no-one would come to get them. All this while 20 waiters/waitresses walked by us plenty of times not even bothering to ask if we needed anything or if we wanted any dessert. Finally after 20 minutes a waitress saw us looking around and came to our table to ask us if all was well. We said no and she cleared some stuff off the table and went to get the dessert menu for us and then disappeared. 15 minutes later no-one would even stop to check if we needed anything again. Finally a waiter stopped to ask and by that point after waiting so long we told him to forget desserts and just bring the bill because service had been so horrible. It is horribly run, I would not recommend to go there. When serving a table you are responsible for the table not setting up the other table or checking in pn your assigned tables. I get better service...

As a local resident we've been anxiously anticipating the reopening of Plaj since Noah's closed in Jan. Santa Cruz locals have missed having a lounge bar all winter and Spring.

You've done a great job on keeping the decor and renovating. 🙏

But...is there any need for so many tables other than in August? The space is so big. It's so crowded and has completely lost the personal friendly vibe.

Noah's got the vibe right. Lounge and restuarant.

Santa Cruz doesn't need another beach place crammed with tables, it needs a lounge bar. You're missing a huge opportunity here, no other bar has a space so big they can offer a lounge and restaurant.

We recommend taking the first three rows of tables out and placing lounge chairs. A place people can come and relax after a day on the beach.

We've eaten there twice. I dont think the focus is their good quality, its on getting masses of people in and out quickly.

Seafood seems good in general. Although cuttlefish we feel may have been frozen food not fresh. And steak wasn't the best quality if you compare to Bronzear. Portions are massive, you certainly don't need a starter and main.

Service isn't great but they are really nice and if you're not in a rush you'll be fine. But they seem to be overwhelming by the sheer number of people.

Please reconsider the vibe. I am not the only local who's...
