Marisqueira da Vagueira — Restaurant in Vagos

I went to Marisqueira da Vagueira today for lunch with my parents, wife, and children, and we had an excellent experience. The atmosphere is sophisticated and befitting of a seafood restaurant. The wines, beers, and spirits in the cellar are of the highest quality. We ordered a grilled gilt-head bream that was expertly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The monkfish rice was delicious, bursting with flavor. The surf and turf dish was good, although it was the least impressive of all the dishes we tried.

The service was very good, although not extraordinary - but considering the restaurant was full, we understand the challenges they faced. The staff were attentive and accommodating, ensuring our needs were met throughout the meal.

Went for a evening meal at the marisqueira de Vagueira, and we were blown away by the starter my husband had, marinated mussels and just looked awesome and tasted divine. Fresh chilled seafood or Grilled seafood what’s your choice? We’ll they will have it here! This is the go to place if you are in Vagos to enjoy excellent freshly prepared seafood. We enjoyed both the cold and grilled platters. They came with all the standard options along with a few delicacies that you cannot get back in the states. Precebes being one of them. The hot platter came with a flaming ball of salt to finish up the grilling of well done seafood is your thing. Nice touch! The fish soup is excellent, the starters are abundant and the atmosphere is casual and a bit crowded but that because it’s all so good here.
