Pizzeria Di Pippo — Restaurant in Vila do Conde

We traveled through this town on the Camino and stopped here because it had vegetarian food (even vegan pizza).

We loved our waiter. It was a level of service never before encountered. We barely spoke any of the same languages and had a great time playing Google Translate telephone. “It felt like a family reunion” - my girlfriend.

The pizza is great, really satisfying after a long day. But it’s our boy, the waiter, who really made our night.

They also deliver within 2km. He gave us business cards for delivery but alas, we had to move on the next day.

Rest assured, if we had stayed in town, we would have surely gone...

Wow. I have eaten a lot of pizza in my life. But I can say with confidence that the Ortolana was the best I have ever had to try. The dough was freaking exquisite, the vegetables were perfectly cooked and the whole plate felt really amazing. The 8 of us all fell in love with this place. We can recommend our choices : margherita (simple and DOP), Di Lily, Capricciosa and Prosciutto e funghi. Finally, the server was very very nice, patient and helped us make the best choices ! And his English was perfect !
