Urban Garden — Restaurant in Vila Franca de Xira

After walking around Vila Franca de Xira and the Jardim Constantino Palha on a hot Summer day, my husband and I decided to stop at The Urban Garden for lunch. The location of the bar is right next to the train station and at the waterfront, it has multiple outdoor seatings available. Our server (we think it was the owner) was extremely helpful and kind when we had questions on what to order. We each decided on a hamburger and chips which cost 4,50 euros each. Our drink (a shared Guaraná, Hurray!!) was an additional 1,50 euros. Overall, lunch was delicious, the view was beautiful, and the service was excellent. We highly recommend The Urban Garden if/when you are in the area.

Late update: We came back the next morning for breakfast! Ordered fresh squeezed orange juice and one ham omelette with cheese and another without. Great place for breakfast with a view and a kind owner...

O espaço é incrivel, a vista maravilhosa, contudo não se pode dizer o mesmo do atendimento. Claramente que se aproveitam por terem um espaço agradável e tão bonito. A funcionárias são sempre arrogantes, não frequento mais vezes o estabelecimento exatamente por este motivo. Simpatia não são coisas que assistam, quando falo em simpatia não digo para estarem a sorrir, mas pelo menos não estarem de trombas porque é isto que acontece. E mau não é suficiente para descrever o atendimento que é. Tão mau que uma pessoa até se sente mal de pedir o quer que seja e dá vontade de perguntar se quer que eu tire o café. Adorava que este espaço fosse de serviço público, certamente que lhe tiraria...
