Amora Pizza — Restaurant in Al-Daayen

Avoid GF options!

I have an intolerance to wheat, and so imagine my sheer joy when seeing that my local pizzeria has a whole gluten free menu.

On the 10th of June I talabat ordered the Gluten Free Pepperoni and Gluten Free fries also. They arrived fast, pizza was sealed in the box and were hot ready to eat, they even tasted great!

Now I have never had the type of reaction that I had from this meal. Not long after eating it I was in so much pain and discomfort that I didn’t really know what was going on.

The next day I tried the pizza again and the same thing happened. I called the restaurant, to help understand if there had been some mixup and I was told ‘usually we don’t mix things’. Usually is the word she wanted to use. Well in this case there had definitely been some kind of cross contamination with the gluten free pizza and regular items. I left a review on talabat and also recently a comment on FB where I was told it wasn’t the right place.

Seems like the management/owners aren’t too bothered about if customers are dissatisfied with the service.

I would have liked to try it again, hopefully there’s more training involved in keeping things separate, however I’m actually worried of having the same reaction again.

We always order for delivery and the food was always great. I was so excited to have my niece try the food because she loves a good pizza and pasta. We travelled all the way from Al Gharaffa to Lusail to dine in.

When the waiter was taking our orders, 2 other guys came in and the waiter just stopped and walked away before he finished taking the order.

After a few minutes some other guy came out to tell us that the restaurant was not ready and and we have to wait 30 minutes and we are more than welcome to find some place else to eat and he was even recommending some other restaurants to go to. (They said they were just preparing but when we came in a delivery driver already came out of the restuarant and picked up some orders.

Literally 3 minutes after telling us that the wait will be minimum 30 minutes, another guy came out saying that he can take our order and the wait will be around 10-15 minutes and we can have it for take away if we want to.

I am beyond disappointed as my 12 year old neice was very excited and travelled really far to try the food. Will not be coming back and will not be ordering for delivery again. If I could give a 0...

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Amora Pizza and I must say, it exceeded our expectations in every way.

The pollo piccate pasta was absolutely divine, perfectly seasoned and balanced with a nice, not overwhelming kick.

We also had the keto pizza (with brocolli crust), which was amazing. Hands down the best keto pizza I’ve tried in years. The crust was crisp and flavorful, topped with a generous amount of cheese.

Aside from the incredible food, the highlight of our experience was the exceptional service provided by Trish and Rory. They both greeted us with a warm smile, and ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of delightful, despite of the restaurant being quite busy. Ther friendly demeanor and attentiveness truly added to the enjoyment of our meal.
