It has been a while since I visited one of Maia cafes and the quality of desserts here wasn't as we are used to.
The desserts looked incredible, however, the execution and flavor weren't that good for some of them and we tried many (5 different desserts). Considering the price, my review has to be harsh honestly. For example, the lemon tart has a very hard shell, and the cream on top was extremely tart. The key lime cheesecake didn't taste of lime and wasn't tart/sour at all. The crepe was great though. The filter coffee was very acidic.
The seating is incredible both indoor and outdoor. Service was good and attentive.
Some items are so overpriced on their menu (they have a type of coffee that cost QR50 for example)! I really think they need to revise...

Instead, the stuff pushes you gently aka embarrasses you to buy water and other irrelevant stuff to build up the bill! We tried their hot chocolate after particularly asking if it was made of real chocolate and not powder...etc and asking them to minimize any added sugar or milk and we got one of the worst and sweetest hot chocolate which appears to be made out of sugar and Nutella! The ambience is good given its location but that is what this place...
