I recently had the pleasure of dining at Emirgan SUTIS. It's a charming Turkish restaurant tucked away in the heart of the city. From the moment I walked through the door, I was enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the stage for an exceptional dining experience.
The first thing that struck me was the impeccable service provided by the attentive and knowledgeable staff. They were not only friendly and welcoming but also well-versed in the intricacies of Turkish cuisine. They patiently guided me through the menu.
Now, let's talk about the food. Oh, what a treat it was! The menu boasted an impressive array of traditional Turkish dishes, each bursting with flavors that transported me straight to the streets of Istanbul. The meze platter, in particular, was a delightful assortment of small plates, featuring classics like hummus, babaganoush, all executed to perfection. The freshness of the ingredients and the skillful blend of herbs and spices truly elevated each dish.
For the main course, I opted for the lamb chops and I must say it was a stellar choice. The meat was succulent and tender, marinated to perfection and grilled to just the right level of char. Accompanied by fragrant rice pilaf and a side of grilled vegetables, it was a harmonious symphony of flavors that left me craving for more.
To complete the dining experience, I indulged in a traditional Turkish dessert, baklava. The delicate layers of filo pastry, generously filled with nuts and drenched in sweet syrup, were nothing short of heavenly. It was a sweet ending that perfectly complemented the savory delights I had savored earlier.
In addition to the remarkable food, the restaurant's ambiance deserves a special mention. The tasteful décor, inspired by Turkish culture, created an authentic and inviting atmosphere. Soft lighting, comfortable seating, and soothing Turkish music in the background all contributed to a relaxing and enjoyable...
Read moreActually the food here really is 5stars. Nothing can beat its freshness.
Especially the cold mezze with the freshly baked warm bread. Truly exceptional. Freshest best tasting cold mezze.
What ended up being a let down was the service. As we saw a very laid back attitude by the attendants.
She along with a guy (maybe a head manager) was eating in the front of the guests. And also before us being served. Lol. That's kinda bizarre. How does the management allow this.
Maybe they should get proper rest times to eat their meal at the back end of the restaurant.
I have been to usta another established Turkish restaurant in qatar but never noticed this.
Later when we were served by the main course i needed condiments tobasco but as she was checking her phone 📱 we had to wait nearly 5-10 mins to get her attention.
So the service was a really big let down. Compared to the food which was truly five stars.
We were so full could barely finish the mains and thus had to even skip on the anticipated dessert. Food is kinda heavy here so make sure you come on a completely empty stomach.
All In all, I prefer emirgan Sutis over usta. And hope the service improves and maybe it was a one off situation. But definitely recommended it...
Read moreI got scammed today in Sutis Cring! Same old cheap practices of Istanbul!!! I have invited my whole team and some Turkish friends for a lunch there and when I entered I have asked if they still have the business lunch, the waiter proposed to me another type of discount a 50% voucher that you buy it from the restaurant, I have accepted and told her to keep the voucher for me until I will ask for the bill… after we finish I asked for the voucher and the discounted bill, then another guy Turkish came to me as he is surprised informing me that no more vouchers available and I should pay the complete bill of 1500 QR!!! I asked for the girl who should keep the voucher for me Al he replied that she is not there as it is clear that he told her to hide to avoid giving me a 50% discount which has been proposed by them originally!!!! I will never go back there nor recommend it to anyone… and the food was expensive with...
