After 2 years, Legenda Restaurant finally opened it's doors for Iftar Buffet during Ramadan.. Because of this, I bought their Iftar voucher way in advance!
Selection of mostly Asian cuisines. They have a grill counter outside, where you can opt for those that has already been grilled or choose some seafood or meat to be freshly grilled. The Satay and peanut sauce is delicious. Definitely have to try. Beverages includes tea/coffee and 2 other cold option.
Wide choices of desserts and snacks. You can basically eat the whole night as food selection was endless.
Overall, food choices was not a disappointment but how staff accommodate the seating was an issue. I was placed right at the entrance of the restaurant. Where people walk in and there you are seated, dining. Not really an ideal place 😕 knowing that many will come for Iftar and I'm just seated right there so I asked if they could place me and my friend elsewhere.
Staff said there is nowhere available as it was full. Note that I came 45 minutes before Iftar time. One thing about being in the service industry, I've learnt, you have to come up with ALTERNATIVES and ACCOMODATE your guest requests and not simply saying 'No Other Place' or better still to tell me other guests made reservations since yesterday just because I called in 8 hours ahead. If you can't take any more guest, it would be good to just inform me and we can change to another day. After asking politely if they can put me anywhere else, staff moved me deep inside the restaurant, where there IS a table for 2 and told me there will be children. It's a family restaurant, there will be children for sure so that statement was not needed. And since there WAS a table for 2 inside, why wasn't it being offered as there was no reservation placard on it? 🤔
It seems like Legenda Restaurant during Iftar buffet would prefer to accommodate you if you're a party of 4 and above. For diners of 2, be prepared to be disappointed with your seating choices.
Returning again for Iftar? Once is...

The review of the buka puasa buffet at Holiday Villa is very disappointing.
Most of the food provided was not very tasty compared to twi years ago, especially the kuih-muih Malaysia which were all not delicious. Only the fried banana managed to salvage the situation.
As for the live grill dishes, the meat was overcooked and not flavorful.
The overall quality of the food was very disappointing and shows a noticeable decline from year to year.
Every year, the buffet quality has been decreasing, as if it is no longer prepared with care and attention.
On the day we visited, there was mee udang, but it was very disappointing because the prawns used were dried prawns in the broth and the broth was also very salty.
Other dishes also lacked satisfying flavors.
If this situation continues, I believe Holiday Villa will lose all its Malaysian customers.
We were canceled our plan to recommend Holiday Villas iftar buffet for our company's team iftar due to quality of the food.
I hope the management will take decisive action to improve the quality of the food for the satisfaction of the...
Read moreLagenda offers daily buffets for breakfast lunch and dinner. Items change daily, except for special promotions. I visited Friday supper. Unfortunately the buffet items on offer were not my favourites, fish with tomato sauce, beef in a tomato sauce, chicken biryani, clear beef soup and daal for hot items. Good selection of salads and a live station with choices of chicken schwarma, wrap or quesadilla and different fillings. Unfortunately the quesadillas were not available, so I had a wrap and a schwarma. A nice selection of dessert, hot fruit crumble, coconut balls, raspberry and chocolate mousse and a sago choice plus mixed fruits. If I visited on a night with more Asian choices it would have been better. Excellent service and...
