Read moreMe and my family have been one of the oldest customers of Hameel restaurant since 30 years when this rest. was located in Abdulla Bin Thani street near Sofitel/Grand mercure hotel. Back then, it was one of the best restaurant in Doha with its signature chicken chilly and porotta but lately I have been very much disappointed and upset with the staff cheating on orders in Al Matar street. Last Saturday I ordered takeaway chicken chilly, barbecue, and butter chicken. I was surprised to find instead of chicken chilly they gave me chicken manchurian. Some time back their Aloo Paratha was my favorite, therefore I ordered aloo paratha and again they did a blunder by sending tasteless blunt Aloo Kulcha instead of Aloo paratha charging for Aloo paratha. Do they not know diff between aloo paratha and aloo kulcha and how they used to serve before some years and with what ingredients its made? Aloo paratha with wheat and kulcha with maida... What does the staff/manager think that customers are fools and they can serve any dish in place of their order and customer doesnt know the dish or taste? Being a loyal customer since 30 years from Abdullah bin Thani branch near mercure sofitel hotel to Al Matar and Jaidah bridge branch I lost trust especially in Al Matar branch who take customer for granted and blunder/cheat customers with any other dish instead of having courtesy to inform customer of non availability of dish especially take aways and delivery. Customers are not fools, they know the food, the dish its taste hence they order especially a customer who is taking away huge orders from ur eatery since 30 years as it was our family rest. Lost complete trust and a Big NO for this restaurant for takeaway and deliveries. Dont be surprised if you ordered something and get different item upon reaching home. Dear Hameel, Kindly stop cheating customers on orders - sticking any random dish if the ordered dish isnt available without informing. Lost trust as been cheated twice for take aways and delivery. I hope their higher management isnt in to this and looks in to...
Read moreVisited the restaurant on 29th May to try out their inaugural offer of biriyani at 1 Riyal, which was advertised to be available from 5 PM to 8 PM. We reached by 7:40 PM—well within the offer time—but were disappointed to be told that the biriyani was already over.
While we understand that offers can sell out, it was quite misleading since the offer clearly stated availability until 8 PM. What made it worse was that people were still entering the restaurant without being informed that the offer was no longer available. From what we could see, there seemed to be enough food being served otherwise, which raises questions about the transparency of the promotion.
Restaurants should honour their advertised offers or at least communicate clearly when stock runs out. We hope they handle such situations better in the future to maintain...
