Dgrill offers a dining experience that varies wildly, with exceptional food on good days and disappointing fare on others. Hygiene issues and rude staff overshadow the well-designed interior and reasonable prices.
PROS;
Food: The food at Dgrill is quite the rollercoaster. On good days, the dishes are exceptional, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Those moments are the primary reason I’d give this place a high rating. However, consistency is an issue. On other days, the quality can plummet to downright disappointing. It’s a gamble, but when Dgrill hits the mark, it’s truly a culinary delight.
Ambiance: One of the standout features of Dgrill is its interior design. The seating area is thoughtfully designed, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. The decor and layout reflect a lot of care and attention to detail, making it a visually appealing place to dine.
Prices: Pricing at Dgrill is reasonable. Considering the quality of food when it’s at its best, the prices offer good value for money. However, the inconsistency in food quality can sometimes make you feel like you’re not getting your money’s worth.
CONS;
Hygiene: Unfortunately, hygiene at Dgrill is a serious concern. On more than one occasion, I witnessed staff members using the restroom and not washing their hands afterward. This is not a one-off incident but seems to be a common practice, which is quite alarming. It definitely detracts from the overall dining experience, making one question the cleanliness of the entire establishment. If hygiene is not a problem for you, this point may not be a factor to you, please do not forget we had a pandemic recently due to the poor personal hygiene of others.
Staff: The service at Dgrill leaves much to be desired. The staff are generally rude and unwelcoming, which makes the dining experience less enjoyable. Friendly and attentive service can make a huge difference, and this is an area where Dgrill needs significant improvement.
Beverages: The drinks, especially the juices, are another downside. They are often watered down or excessively sweet, to the point of being almost undrinkable. This is disappointing, especially when paired with an otherwise good meal.
IN SUMMARY;
Dgrill is a place with great potential that’s let down by its inconsistency and poor hygiene practices. If you catch them on a good day, you’re in for a treat, but be prepared for the possibility of a subpar experience. The unwelcoming staff and substandard beverages further mar the experience. The food is however a mix of a bit disappointment or a good one. We had the Sea Bass Grill with Mandi Rice which was very good and enjoyed every bit of it. The fish was well cooked and very well goes with their style of Mandi and condiments. However, we were very disappointed with the house special D'Grill Special Chicken Grill Combo. The masala on the chicken was salty, and very spicy, something which we did not expect. Impact was such that we felt sad we could not finish the just half cut of the chicken. What we appreciate is the waiter taking in our concerns and returning with some improvement on the salty masala, however, the spiciness level left us with a sad note.
