Ice Italy — Restaurant in Praid

I'd say it's rather mediocre on all aspects - interior design, atmosphere, serving and food quality. I've seen many other reviews praising the good food and signalling the long wait of this place. If you come straight from the slope with a wolf's appetite I reckon any food tastes great. That would explain the fact that it appears to be crowded and hence the long wait. Most people probably came during rush hours, in mid skiing season. In my case it wasn't crowded, there wasn't a long wait, but neither was the food great. Ate here twice with my husband and the food was incredible, exactly to our taste! We didn't try the pizza despite the name because the mains sounded a lot more appetizing. All the food came hot from the kitchen every time. The portions are very large and satisfying. I had the chef's recommendation both times because I liked it so much - the "steak" potatoes are excellent. The cordon bleu was delicious too. For dessert we had nutella pancakes and papanasi. I am sorry to say, but I have had a really unpleasant experience in this restaurant. I ordered a salad made out of stale vegetables which turned out to be soaked in salad dressing to, probably, cover for the way they looked. The salad looked disgusting and it tasted just the same. The fries looked even more stale just as the huge amount of oil inside. What was even worse was the staff insisting the salad was freshly made and there was nothing they can do about it.
