Coffee 22 — Restaurant in округ № 78

Brilliant place to have breakfast and coffee. I went there twice when I was in St Petersburg, and they were the only place who knew what I was talking about when I asked for a regular, filtered black coffee. It seems noone else in St Petersburg knows what that is, only espresso and americano. The waiter came with the coffee in a science lab glass to be poured into the coffee glass, and a glass of water always came together with the coffee. Needless to say these are coffee nerds. Also, the food was brilliant there, and the waiter was very polite and came to take away my plates as soon as I was finished. The music is refined and relaxing and by the window was an absolutely amazing book with hundreds of pictures chronicling the history of St Petersburg. It's a very easy choice to come...

Good coffee or cappuccinos, whatever you're up for. Reasonable prices and friendly, attentive wait staff. They have a decent breakfast variety (till noon I believe) including English breakfast, pancakes, and oatmeal. I've also had pasta with parmesan here at dinner time. It was VERY reasonably priced. And tasty! Of course they also serve tea and alcoholic beverages. If you're just looking for a place to chill, this could be it. They have a good music selection. You can chat with a friend and listen to it effortlessly. It was calm relaxing and sad. There's something very Russian about this place. Just can't put my finger on why it feels so. Waitress and barista were polite and helpful. Something going on between these two. Like he has a crash on her but she does not feel the same. How do I know? He smiled only to her. To everyone else he gave this morbid look, like "Maaan, what we are in this life? I'm only barista, not a hero of your story. Nobody's story really".
