Shokoladnica — Restaurant in Meshchansky District

Respected sir/madam,

My name is Vilphin Vincent and I am an Indian.

I was traveling with my wife to Moscow on 16 Oct and visited your cafe between 9-10am (cafe Shokolanditsa, partizanskaya,Alfa hotel lobby). I am sorry to inform you that the behavior of your staff at Shokolanditsa cafe was extremely rude.

The language could be a problem however the tone is universal. Firstly no one came to take our order. Secondly when the girl came after 15 minutes and asked if we are ready with our order and we said yes, then again another wait for 15 minutes while tables next to us were getting served.

I think that this was extremely racist in the part of those girls who need to be trained better that they are serving and its not an option to serve some colors and the others can wait. It is a major issue and it upset me and my wife but I went to the manager at the cafe and told her my grievance. Her reply was sorry, but in a tone that sounded "OK so what".

This is for your information and further necessary action to make your hotel/cafe even more comfortable and a good experience for future customers.

Went there because I was hungry and had a good time last time i went to a chokoladnica. A waiter came to me and I asked him if they had an English menu. He just started flirting with me "no we don't but I have vodka" etc... He made me uncomfortable, not keeping his distance...being too close to me physically, looking at me as if I was a piece of meat while not helping me at all. Finally he referred me to his colleague "hans or gans". Hans was helpful AND respectful. But I must say that Hans was right next when his colleague was flirting and he didn't do anything to stop it. In the end I didn't end up ordering there because I was so uncomfortable with the other waiter (still being next to me) I knew he would continue talking to me. I come to a restaurant to eat, not to have waiters flirting with me in a disrespectful way while not even helping me ! Since this happened to me as a foreigner at night it made me feel insecure. From what I see with the other reviews I am not the only one receiving bad service, hope you take into consideration...

Не касаясь еды, деградация сервиса за последние года 3 ужасная. Отношение персонала примерно как если ты вломился на чужую кухню и требуешь странного. В 8:30 утра, при наполненности зала в 4-6 человек официантка Ай(и)да удивляется тому, что да, мне нужно меню, затем 3-4 минуты последовательно избегает моего взгляда, которым я показываю, что хотел бы сделать заказ. Игра в гляделки продолжается, пока она не сдаётся, всё также недоумевающе спрашивая "Вы что-то хотели?". "Я же не умею читать мысли." - с укором продолжила она после моего короткого кивка и улыбки на её вопрос. Пристыженный тем, что поленился с утра орать через пустой зал, разводить сигнальный костер или любым другим удовлетворительным для персонала способом привлекать к себе внимание, я решил перестать досаждать Ай(и)де и попросил несколько позиций с собой, на что получил краткое "Заказывайте на кассе" и стремительно удаляющуюся спину официантки как намек на то, что наше общение окончено. Какие-то дежурные "доброеутроспасибозазаказвсегохорошего", естественно, были опущены как ненужные формальности, причем всеми сотрудниками. Если коротко, то да, нелепо ждать от огромной отечественной сети уровня персонала (да и блюд) хоть немного выше среднего, но периодически (раз в месяц-два) сталкиваясь с необходимостью заходить в одну из "Шоколадниц" Москвы, могу сказать, что данный эпизод на порядок ниже того среднего уровня обслуживания, который там можно увидеть. Тем более, что ещё 2 года назад регулярно заходил сюда утром за кофе и ситуация отличалась разительно: никто из официантов не лез обниматься, но и открытого брезгливого раздражения не встречал. Поскольку в округе теперь полно мест любого уровня, где можно взять кофе, не посоветую "Шоколадницу" на пр-те Мира 29 даже для утреннего варианта "кофе с собой" - не тревожьте персонал по пустякам и...
