Fika Café — Restaurant in Kimihurura

Firstly, upon entering, there was no greetings or warm welcomes from the staff. In fact, I had to purse a waiter to get some form of decent service. After I was situated and I placed my order, another 30 minutes went by and I was just getting my little cup of coffee. Add to that 20 more minutes and my plate of the most simplistic breakfast came. I stared at the plate for a minute trying to understand what would take an entire hour to make. Mind you, there was barely anyone there at the time. After getting my plate, my server disappeared and I didn’t see him until I was ready for my bill. I watched as the female servers all rushed to serve the men and white folks that would come in and not one of them had the curtsy to ask if there was anything else that I needed. All in all, the food and drink that I ordered was very average, the service was terrible by a landslide and the scenery was simple but nice. MANAGEMENT do better. Your staff has the ability to smile and say hello when strangers walk in to your place, and they also have the ability to show that they are enthusiastic about the work that they do. There should be no reason why customers are chasing after waiters or waiting an hour for some eggs, toasts and avocados.

I plan on going back one more time to see if anything has changed, and if it does, my post...

This is a lovely little coffee shop. Inside or outside seating in a small but lush garden. Nice for working or reading, or just to hang out with a good book... but, expect ooh soo sloooow service.... Zzzzzzz 💤😴 ... on our last visit, we had to wait for more than one hour to get a burger (not even served as ordered..), a beef wrap and a sandwich.... totally unacceptable. Food was very good, "but not worth the wait", as my son so...

A nice spot for coffee. A cute and local spot. The cappachinos are hot and tasty and in really lovely local pottery. Internet is a bit spotty and it a good connection for a call (many people must have been on at the same time). The croissant was nice and soft and fresh. The chairs are hard wood and if you’re here too long that adds up! There was a very nice lunch...
