So, first food we had was Banku (I hope I got the spelling right but it's essentially a traditional food for Kenyans but for Nigerians, I hear it's similar to our fufu) which was served with diced tomatoes, pepper and onions (it was fresh/raw & apparently was to be eaten by hand). I tasted this and I will not be repeating the dish. Wasn't too bad but it was not on my 'I like' list.
Next was the lamb which was good. Wasn't great but it was a delight and later on, a relief to have it served. I did enjoy eating it. 😃
Next on the food item were the fries which, in the words of the babe who ate it, was bland. They didn't even bother to add ketchup 😴
Lastly on the food list, we ordered pizza which was the biggest, singularly most horrible mistake of the night! It was too salty, too sauced with all the ingredients fighting for expression and all failing miserably. I couldn't take more than a bite. So so 😞.
For drinks we had a drink that tasted like beer but without alcohol, sparkling water and coke.
Service was slow and it was at this point that I heard for the first time that it usually takes at least an hour for anyone from Rwanda to prepare food. Literally took a little more than that. Shame! They should come to Nigeria and try this....people will leave and you will have wasted food on your hands 🤣. However, since we were in Rwanda, we had to behave and adjust our expectations accordingly.
Ambience was good though. We even danced a little. That was fun!🩰 Altogether, I'd rate them a...

The lamb shank barbecue is really soft and well made. The chicken is also good. Lamb ribs, though less ok meat, are out of this world. The best part is they don't keep you waiting forever. Service is good and mostly fast.
The best quick lunch buffet spot in Kigali. There were many lunch buffet spots in Kigali that I used to frequent. Many of them closed down in the quick expansion the city has had. Most of them used to be run from houses in prime spots, which got redevelopment. This is one of the original spots that have survived. They have a great spread with good variety and affordable prices for white-collar job holders as a daily lunch spot.
Their "boilo" is really good. Finding a place sitting during peak hours can be a...
Read moreIt’s a fantastic place to experience local Rwandan cuisine. I had lunch there and had the opportunity to try a variety of dishes. The prices are very reasonable, and the atmosphere is lively, making it a great place to enjoy the local scene. I prefer dining at such a good restaurant because I love the local food.
However, I noticed some service issues during my visit, likely due to the busy time. It was a bit difficult to find a waiter and get my drinks. This area could use some improvement. Despite that, I highly recommend this restaurant for its delicious food and...
