Now - with a name like this, one is lured into believing that the roots of high quality French cuisine is honored and that each dish is made with the right amount of love and attention.
Not the case with the dish I had.
I ordered a Filet mignon de pork, sauce moutarde ancienne - yeah a mouthwatering name for a traditional French dish.
But far from what I got, which had more resembles with a road kill left in the sun.
The fillet were absolutely left untouched by the chief before preparing it, including parts that I wouldn't even serve to my hungry dog. Despite ordering a medium done it were close to bloody rare with a light brown crust.
The rest of the assembly were placed on a dish in a manner that made me believe that the chief either where in a hurry and simply threw it on the plate in anyway that were convenient for him, or that he just threw everything in a bucket before unloading it on a plate.
Despite the fancy name didn't they manage to convince me that they are able to cook anything close to what's on the menu, and the lack of sheer basic quality control made me question other items like staff qualifications, kitchen cleanness, and so on and so on.
I tried in vain to reach the management to have a constructive dialog about my horrifying experience, hence this very direct and honest review.

L'Epicurien is a beautiful restaurant. The privacy and serenity are the top highlights but the food and service are also excellent.
My girlfriend and I stopped for lunch on a Monday. We sat in under at a private table under a pergola surrounded by plants and flowers.
I had the chicken and she had the steak. Both were delectable! My personal favorite, though, was the complementary, fresh baked dinner rolls. Yum! The food presentation was eloquent.
