Scoops Ice-cream & Delights — Restaurant in Upolu

Disappointing experience...I love ice cream and eat multiple ice creams per day when travelling.

So:

1. The only ice creams worth getting are the NZ Tip Top ones...the local ones are weren't that great

2. Ordered 2 scoops and then saw they had scraps of another flavour left over so I asked him to just put what's remaining...he did and proceeded to charge $15 tala for 3 scoops...even though their charges are $6.5 for 1 scoop and $7.5 for 2 scoops...then somehow they added $1 tala because it's a cup which is the first time this has ever happened as it's usually cones that are more expensive.

3. I said that makes no sense - they're charging 1 tala more scoop so I'm happy to even pay $10 tala for 3 otherwise I might as well get 2 scoops instead of 1 for the extra $7.5 tala charge...3 staff in succession tried to explain to me that it was their pricing and it's take it or leave it. So I said ok take the the scoop back...which they did and charged me the $8.5 tala...so in the end, their policy and lack of understanding of the concept behind a HOSPITALITY business means they lost out on a ice cream loving customer that would have come back multiple times, got a negative review, and earned less money then they could have - stupidity at its best!

I highly recommend going to Chillz Ice Cream (Chilly Ice Cream) a few minutes away - the same Tip Top flavours plus natural fruit ice creams and fresh sugar cane juice - NO extra charges for cup and logical charges for...

The best ice cream ever. My whole family is having withdrawals, because their Ice Cream is better than what we have here in Australia.

Anyway my fave combo was Koko Samoa and Siamu popo. The kids tried chocolate, mint chocolate chip, cookies and cream. Obviously they had different flavours, on our many visits to Scoops during our trip.

Staff are friendly, and customer service is great and efficient considering how busy they get. Ice cream is affordable...
