Godiva - Ar Rahmaniyah — Restaurant in Al Maathar Municipality

This was my third visit.

Godiva is not just a chocolate, it is an experience.

If you love chocolate then this is the right place to be.

We tried godiva two years before . The pure rich taste of chocolate has no match in Riyadh.

Starting with cone icecream. We tried there chocolate cone which i cannot describe in words, you have to try. Worth every Riyal.the nearest chocolate cone like this is served in Wagyu Restaurant.

They have changed there menu, we had crepe with strawberry chocolate before.

Last night we wanted to have a quiet place to sit, relax and plan things out.

Maybe iam wrong but i guess this cafe was close for a long time?

We were on takhasusi road and then decided to visit cafe again.

When you enter it looks like a chocolate palace, it has very different vibe than other cafes in Riyadh. They have a fine dine menu to dessert menu.

We tried tiramisu affogato last night and it was great , the creaminess of vanilla icecream with tiramisu cake bites were complementing each other,melted chocolate with those biscuit cigars were ufff too good. Melted chocolate was tooo good. Staff was very kind and vigilant.

We went for ice creams last Friday and loved it, service was great. We went back again the next day only to ruin the experience with the one female staff who refused to give our kid a paper cup for the ice cream, the reason why we asked for the paper cup is because with kids it gets messy when ice cream melts. The lady said we must pay the full price for the ice cream in the cup to get the paper cup. I was really shocked how adamant and rude she was since she claimed it’s the store’s policy yet the day before the staff was gracious to provide our kid a paper cup without cost, I’ve never heard of any shop that would charge for a paper cup. Very Poor service!!! You Wait 1 hour to get ur order and after they get it to u, it is Cold and not complete! Three times we asked for water, they didn’t bring. Coffee was suppose to be free with meals we order- we paid for coffee! I wanted to pay with cash- they didn’t accept because they didn’t have change. After I told them I only have SAR with me they didn’t care and told me to find a way to pay. Staff are very impolite, lazy and they give this place bad reputation.
