Shiro was definitely a hidden gem that brings out the best of both worlds in terms of cuisine with its diverse menu, warm ambience, attentive service and excellent lighting it offers a delightful dining experience for those seeking an authentic taste of Sushi or seafood.

If you are someone who likes experimenting they did have fried Sushi which we definitely tried for the first time and it tasted quite yummy and different I would say good different.

The fresh ingredients the authentic spices and traditional cooking techniques were definitely getting out the amazing flavours in each and every dish.

We ordered the classic dynamite shrimp 🍤 a chicken 🍗 wok noodles "extra spicy" we also ordered a hot and sour shrimp it comes with a bowl of steamed rice 🍚 which was sufficient for two people since we had enough appetizers.

The soft warm lighting the comfortable seating and the tasteful yummy food definitely was an enjoyabledining experience whether you are looking for an intimate dinner for 2 or a gathering with your friends and family the restaurant definitely provides a cosy and welcoming seating for any occasion it also has Apple amount of space combining ground and first with a very beautiful Paris like feel outside in their corridor.

The staff the extremely friendly and knowledgeable they were attentive also we had a few questions regarding a dishes specifically then you very well and they had absolutely perfect answers then never had to go back to their manager any senior member to get us the exact information.

As soon as I walked in I felt invisible. A guy in a suit who seemed to be the restaurant manager, saw me struggle with the door but ignored me and didn't even say hello. I sat at the bar and was the only customer but this went on for about ten minutes before I had to say hello to one of the 8 staff members behind the counter. There was an African guy that was helpful and an African girl that was cheerful and smiled. Generally the staff were indifferent. The guy in the suit didn't know how much a small bottle of Perrier was (8 SAR) so I don't know what his job was. The music was good but then it went off for an extended time for no apparent reason. Apart from all that, the food was ok. The crab salad was a good sized serving but with only mild flavours of crab and the crunchy stuff (?) added an extra texture. The miso soup had an authenticity but the portion could not have been smaller. After that I ordered the Beef Shumai which again was authentic but over priced for 4 pieces. Finally I ordered a shrimp stir-fry (they call it a wok, which I thought was a type of frypan they use shrug). The stir-fry had about a dozen shrimps that you would get from the freezer section at Panda nearby and a few well cooked vegetables and I opted for the thin Japanese noodles. Again overpriced and something anyone could easily cook at home. Overall a very suburban joint and pedestrian cuisine. TripAdvisor recommended it in their top ten go-to places for value in Riyadh so if that's the case it's a dire situation here. I invited my friends for dinner at Shiro restaurant considering the last time i went there and we faced the same issue as today and they promised they will fix it. I promised them it will exquisite, but unfortunately i was so embarrassed when the food came. We ordered 3 crab salad, one chicken noodles and 60 pieces of sushi. The crab salad was different than last time, it was very dry with no taste, the noodles were okay but the disaster were the sushi! The nori were very chewy, the rice was very dry and the fried shrimps and crabs were not fresh and they tasted like oil!!! Even the rolls that had avocado and mango they were very raw !!! Honestly i feel so bad because i was saying that Shiro is the best sushi place in Riyadh after i have been to different sushi places, because the manager last time promised us that it will never happen again and it was the first time it happens and made me believe that my next experience will be different but...
