Nando's - Granada Mall — Restaurant in Al Rawda Muncipality

As a South African who knows what to expect and ask of Nando’s I’m very disappointed with the service received from this branch from the past few visits to the restaurant. The order is either mixed up or they will give a lame excuse about extra basting sauce on the side of the meal. The last visit didn’t fail to amaze me when we asked the waitress to please ask the kitchen to give us extra basting sauce for the Hot and Extra Hot Chicken ordered and she told them no basting sauce on the chicken just on the side, whereas when the chicken arrived and the chef was asked which is which as the little flags were not present he said that the flavours hot and extra hot are the same. How pathetic because another staff clearly said they can’t be the same. Since we are not customers who create a scene I left the restaurant in a humble way after speaking to a very kind waiter by the name of Abir, and felt that Nando’s needs to be made aware of what’s going on at the Granada Mall branch as some staff show one so much of attitude especially after knowing that we regular customers. Being a regular customers of Nando’s in the UK and have always enjoyed the delicious food and excellent service in Dubai, Malaysia, and Canada too. I am extremely disappointed with this branch.

Firstly, the food we received was excessively sour and vinegary, which was highly unexpected and unpleasant. Even the salad came with the intense flavor of vinegar. Despite ordering mild dishes, the level of acidity and spice was intolerable. It was as if red chili and vinegar were added straight to the food. It was still disappointing.

All four members of my family experienced severe diarrhea and sickness for a week. I would definitely not recommend it to anyone which it comes to food. Chicken liver was soupy based, full of sour vinegar. Chicken seasoned with vinegar again so is the salad.

After the last aweful Nados experience in Levels Mall, I finally decided to try this branch. Overall the experience was OK as I went in with very low expectations. The Chicken Livers tasted good but the bread was absolutely rock hard, I'm sure if it was soft, I could've enjoyed it without breaking my teeth. We ordered some pulled chicken wraps that tasted good. However the chicken wings platter were a complete disappointment. We ordered a mixed flavour, but we got no flavour. They were overcooked and dry in addition to a bad smell. Unfortunately, I still can't get over the quality of the chicken. I guess I was right to expect low, and they delivered exactly that. Can't fault the serving staff, I think the fault remains with lack of experience and training with kitchen staff. I miss the original Nandos.
